Free Pharmacy

"Providing prescribed medicines free of cost to support accessible healthcare and continued treatment for those in need."

Department Overview

A glimpse into what we do

The Pharmacy Department plays a crucial role in ensuring safe, effective, and accessible medication support during medical camps. Its scope includes medication dispensing, prescription review, patient counselling, medicine management, and health education to promote rational use of medicines. Pharmacists work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that prescribed medications are appropriately dispensed while maintaining safety, accuracy, and quality standards. The role of the Pharmacy Department extends beyond medicine distribution. Pharmacists educate beneficiaries regarding the correct dosage, timing, storage, precautions, and possible side effects of medications to improve treatment adherence and therapeutic outcomes. They also provide guidance on over-the-counter medications, preventive healthcare measures, and the importance of completing prescribed treatment courses. In addition, pharmacists help identify medication-related concerns, allergies, and potential drug interactions, thereby supporting patient safety. By ensuring the availability and proper utilization of medicines, promoting medication awareness, and supporting informed healthcare decisions, the department enhances patient outcomes and strengthens the overall effectiveness of medical camp services within the community.
