The Dental Department plays an essential role in medical camps by promoting oral health, early disease detection, and preventive dental care among individuals and communities. The scope of dental services includes oral health screening, assessment of common dental problems, preventive guidance, and referral support for advanced treatment whenever necessary. Dental professionals help identify conditions such as dental caries (tooth decay), gum diseases, oral infections, ulcers, text sensitivity, malalignment of teeth, and other oral health concerns that may affect an individual’s overall well-being. The role of the Dental Department extends beyond clinical screening to creating awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and healthy lifestyle practices. Beneficiaries are educated on proper brushing techniques, oral hygiene maintenance, healthy dietary habits, and the prevention of tobacco-related oral diseases. The department also encourages regular dental check-ups to support long-term oral health.
